UPDATE: Hi everyone, it's been a while since my last post, how have you been?. Lately I have been a bit busy organizing all my documents as I have finally graduated from university. I am really looking forward to being able to start traveling and discovering new places, new cultures and new people. That´s why I am organizing an incredible trip through America with a group of people.
TRAVEL PLANTS: I will travel to America, specifically to the USA and Mexico. I want this trip to be incredible, I want to visit many places, monuments and learn about the culture of the countries of America.That is why I will be traveling with a small group of friends, we are all crazy passionate about learning. Before making this trip, I really asked myself what Mexico was and is now days, I investigated many things but what most caught my attention was its independence. There are many countries that keep fighting for their freedom and it seems to me that among independent countries we must help each other. I found that Mexico, despite having gone through so much, never gives up, instead it invited many countries to join the Mexican Empire and fight for freedom. And what I found is this...
After Mexico obtained its independence, in 1821, Agustin de Iturbide who was the president of the regency of the Mexican Empire, invited the Latin American territories that were still under the government of European countries to join the Mexican Empire. Several of these territories joined the Empire to achieve their independence; However, from 1823 when Agustin de Iturbide abdicated, the union disintegrated, but the influence of Mexico caused the Latin American territories to seek their independence, which they achieved shortly after.
In 1821 the territories of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, formed the group "Independence of Central America" seeking their freedom and sovereignty.
These countries were influenced by the strategy that led Mexico to achieve its independence through the Iguala Plan; Therefore, this group of countries signed the Act of Independence of Central America.
The similarity of this group of countries with Mexico, was generated, for being neighboring countries whose location is in the center of the American continent and for being countries conquered by the same Spanish Empire.
There are several countries that fought and continue to fight for their independence since they were conquered or invaded by other powerful countries; however, there are great differences in the way and time by which they are achieving their sovereignty. For example, there are great differences between Scotland and Mexico to achieve their independence.
The Second independence of Scotland occurs in the year from 1332 to 1357, that is, 489 years before the confirmation of the Independence of Mexico.
Scotland was invaded by the English Empire and Mexico was conquered by the Spanish Empire
It took Scotland 61 years to finally achieve its independence, while in Mexico it took 11 years for its independence to be declared definitive; since Scotland had a first war achieving its first independence in the year 1332 however it was again invaded by Eduardo de Balliol with the support of the English and ended in 1357 with the signing of the Treaty of Berwick.
I have so many places I want to visit in this trip, I'm planning to take my friends to see the Independence Hall in Philadelphia were The US Declaration of Independence was debated and adopted, Delegates from the Thirteen Colonies meet at the Second Continental Congress during the American War of Independence, between 1775 and 1783, and the Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776) and, later, Articles of the Confederation and the Constitution of the United States of America. I really want to visit because It is considered as the birthplace of the United States of America since it was where the starting documents of a new country arose and were adopted. It would be amazing!

- He was the third president of the United States but first, he has served as the second vice president of the country, he is considered one of the best presidents, and a really incredible inventor, philosopher, lawyer and politician, i mean, how cool is that? He is also a defender of individual rights and liberty, and a real supporter of democracy. He is awesome!

- He was the fifth president of the United States after defeating the federalist candidate in the elections of 1816. Before reaching the presidency, he served as a soldier, lawyer, continental delegate to Congress, senator, governor, secretary of state and secretary of defense. I would like us to visit him since I consider that his period of government has been like the era of good feelings, since everyone has remained at peace and efforts are focused on economic progress.

- He is an amazing writer, critic and activist. He defends and supports all the early feminisms cause and advocated for the end of slavery and racism. He also developed the advance of the American art, I also chose him because his writing reflects the style of life of the United States and reading them will help me to understand better the life of the people in the country.
I really think that one of the main causes of the US independence was the increase of taxes, laws and more taxes because prior to 1764 the British government had pretty much left the colonists alone to govern themselves. In 1764, they began to impose new laws and taxes. They implemented a number of laws including the Sugar Act, Currency Act, Quartering Act, and the Stamp Act. The colonists were not happy with the new taxes. They said they should not have to pay British taxes because they had no representatives in the British Parliament. Their motto became "No Taxation Without Representation."
This situation caused great discontent and confrontations began as it was the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770, that was a confrontation between soldiers and small crowd in which the violence escalated quickly and ended with the killing of five civilians, this is considered as an other cause because at this point the tension between the settlers and the metropolis was already manifest and London reacted by avoiding further tense relations and repealing the taxes created by the Townshend Laws, except the one established on the importation of tea.
For me another clear cause of the revolution was the Townshend Acts that were a series of laws passed by the British government on the American colonies in 1767. They placed new taxes and took away some freedoms from the colonists. They set new taxes on imports of paper, paint, lead, glass, and tea and establish an American Customs Board in Boston to collect taxes. Also, they gave British officials the right to search colonists' houses and businesses.
The Townshend Acts continued to push the American colonists towards revolution. They showed that the British didn't understand that "taxation without representation" was a really big deal to many of the colonists.
One positive effect that we can see clearly of the US Independence is the increase of documents that declarate the freedoms and rights that the people start having, for example The Bill of Rights that guaranteed certain rights and freedoms to its citizens and helped to spread democracy around the world.With this The United States of America became a democratic country where all men had a right to vote on how their country should be run. There was no king or queen.
Another positive thing that this revolution brought was the writing of the Constitution of the United States of America 1787 that gave a sovereign government with its own constitution and state with 3 independent powers, legislative, judicial and executive.
Hierarchy within the states underwent significant changes. Locke’s ideas of “natural law” had been central to the Declaration of Independence and the state constitutions. Society became less deferential and more egalitarian, less aristocratic and more meritocratic. However not everything was good, France started having a huge debt after they helped the US. This later caused the French Revolution that one of the main causes is being its economic crisis
